It’s been out for a little while now but we’ve been… well busy. Introducing NetBank Pulse a super neat data-visualisation project for our good friends at The Commonwealth Bank. It visually articulates the pulse of activity that happens across NetBank every day, which can be further drilled down (as a creative I can’t believe I just said that) by state, gender, age, time and device. Write a little love story then visit Even Books #11

Love is as definable as a car parked in a clearway at peak hour. Scottish-based author Dan Rhodes knew this, and so bravely gave 101 stories about very different loves to the world in his 2000 book, Anthropology: 101 true love stories.  The challenge has been set for all attendants to pen their own 101-word tale of juices, tears and blushing for the night, which will be quoted and shared over oceans of free beer, siroccos of music and the other devastating explosions of hyperbole that usually accompany the talk of love.

The Local Taphouse just won Best New Bar in the Time Out Sydney Bar Awards 2009.  It is a two-level bar specialising in beer has a very industrial 20s/30s feel – like a mix between a munitions factory, an intimate gentleman’s club and a Victorian railway waiting room. Nicholas Vadot (Political Cartoonist and Graphic Novelist) Talks

Born in England in 1971 Nicolas Vadot spent his childhood in France, before moving to Brussels at the age of 17. He moved to Canberra in 2005, where he currently lives. He’s the editorial cartoonist for two major Belgian newspapers and is the author of several French graphic novels. He has also published a compilation of his cartoons on the Bush presidency, called “The George W. Bush Years”.
